iOpus Launches iMacros 7 on Worldwide Tour
Heidelberg, Germany -- (7/7/2010) -- Following a successful beta introduction earlier this year during Microsoft's MIX10 conference, iOpus Software will launch iMacros Version 7 today in Heidelberg, Germany.
iMacros is a true web automation work horse. It is a unique suite of HTML-based web macro recorders that run on Windows desktop or server, which automates all web-browsing functions and routine tasks associated with Microsoft's popular Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
Early beta reviews compare iOpus iMacros to significantly more expensive solutions in the marketplace, and give iOpus iMacros IE the highest ratings for its time, effort and cost savings. With iMacros technology, web masters and developers can record tasks once - on multiple web sites - including logins, passwords, data upload, image download, online marketing and form filling, functional testing and regression testing web sites and then let iMacros execute them as needed. Any combination of browsing, form filling, clicking, and data extraction can be recorded into an Internet macro. Support for Flash, Silverlight or Java applets and web site response time measurements are part of the advanced editions. It also includes a command line interface and a Scripting component for use with batch files and VBS (WSH) and .NET scripting and all other Windows programming languages.
The iOpus iMacros product suite includes the Power Surfer Edition, PRO Edition, and Scripting Edition.
Using the Power Surfer Edition, any combination of browsing, form filling, clicking, page navigation, upload, download, printing, saving and data extraction can be recorded into an Internet macro. Internet Macros works by remotely controlling the web browser. Thus it automatically supports advanced features such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL), HTTP-redirects, and cookies. Once a macro is created, it can run on any PC that has the Internet Macros software installed. iOpus iMacros Power Surfer Edition is priced at $49.95(US).
The PRO Edition features an easy-to-use command line interface, batch file support, and the ability to do web site response time measurements. The PRO Edition is the only software of its kind that supports web sites with FLASH and JAVA applets, and can switch between different web pages automatically with its tabbed browser interface. The PRO Edition is priced at $199.
The iMacros Scripting Edition, which performs capture and replay testing functions normally found in applications costing thousands of dollars, is designed for use by web professionals and people responsible for web site testing. It includes all of the functionality of the iMacros PRO Edition, performing unlimited data upload and management on websites, plus an easy-to-use scripting interface that extends the popular Windows Scripting Host with the ability to replay Internet Macros and extract web page data. Users can also access this interface from Visual Basic, Visual C++, Excel, Access, Perl, the new Microsoft .NET languages or any other Windows programming language. Users can work in their favorite development environment and do not have to learn yet another proprietary programming language. The Scripting Edition license includes a royalty-free distribution of the iMacros engine, so scripts and macros can be provided to third parties. The Scripting Edition is priced at $499 for a single user license. Multi-user and Enterprise Bundles are available.
iOpus iMacros software runs on Windows 2003/2008 Server, XP, Vista and Windows 7.
